2. Measles has made an unwelcome comeback.
Measles Alert: How to Stay Protected
With measles circulating in some communities, now’s the time to check your family’s immunization status. Two doses of the MMR vaccine offer strong protection. Not sure if you’re up to date? Contact your doctor or public health.
Watch for symptoms: fever, cough, red eyes, & rash. If exposed or symptomatic, call your healthcare provider before visiting a clinic to avoid infecting others.
Infants, pregnant individuals & those with weakened immunity are especially vulnerable—limit their exposure during outbreaks.
Measles spreads through the air—just being in the same room hours after an infected person left can expose you. This might be a good time to ask your schools about portable air cleaners which help mitigate the spread of airborne viruses.

Wonderful to see the students finding their own solutions! They demonstrated keen understanding of what the earth needs and what humans can do to stay healthy. Way to Go Gladstone! Can’t wait for next year’s!!!
