On behalf of the Vancouver District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC), we extend our deepest condolences to the students, families, friends, and all those affected by the heartbreaking tragedy at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival.

We stand in heartfelt solidarity with the Filipino-Canadian community during this time, especially as the event was meant to honour and celebrate Filipino culture, unity, and resilience.  As a community of parents and caregivers of students in Vancouver public schools, we grieve with you, and we are committed to offering support as the community begins to process and heal from this
tragedy.
