Passionate About Inclusion? Join the IEWG!
The Inclusive Education Working Group (IEWG) is a group of parents who consult about and advocate for equitable education in the Vancouver school district for students with disabilities, neurodivergence and learning support needs of all kinds. The group meets monthly online and also collaborates via the Slack app. Some actions that the group has taken in their advocacy efforts include letters to the board and provincial government, meeting with trustees to talk about current issues, sharing stories through media, standing as members on VSB’s Accessibility Committee and presenting to the board at delegation meetings. The IEWG is always seeking passionate members to support our efforts, as we strongly believe that we need one another to keep our advocacy strong and persistent. If you would like to join us, please go to vancouverdpac.org, find us under the tab “DPAC Groups > DPAC Working Groups” and click on “Join” to be part of discussions. Links to our monthly meetings can be found in the DPAC calendar on the website. You can email us at iewg@vancouverdpac.org.
