Celebrating a Historic Milestone at Lord Byng!

We congratulate Byng on celebrating this huge milestone !

To kick off a full day of festivities, the Byng PAC will be hosting a continental-style breakfast on Friday, May 10 — and everyone is welcome to attend! It’s a chance to connect, share stories, and celebrate our vibrant school community.

As part of the celebration, they are thrilled to showcase the beautiful commemorative posters and pin. Their creativity and school spirit shine through each design — a lasting tribute to this special occasion.

A special ceremony also took place where ten hand-carved Aboriginal wooden paddles — one for each decade of Lord Byng’s history — were donated and are now displayed along the front staircase. One of these paddles is dedicated to the parents and caregivers (PAC), in honour of their support for students. Some parents even had the opportunity to sign the back of the paddle and share a personal wish for future generations.

This thoughtful gesture is a powerful reminder of what makes this school special: a strong, caring, and united community.
